The Beach Road

Bernard is a telephone engineer and would-be poet. Sandra is his wife who he has promised to take out dancing for her birthday. Daphne and Valerie are two elderly friends who are on their way to the north Norfolk coast to meet up with their newly married friend Maureen. But the world has conspired to make this the most difficult night of Bernard’s life. And to top it all the weather is atrocious, making travel very difficult indeed. And Bernard has one more job to do before he’s finished for the evening.

This appalling set of circumstances conspire to make life very complicated indeed for the characters in this radio play.  Who survives is a matter for the wind……
